iSing 2024

Find out more about iSing, our amazing annual secondary singing event

A young person with long dark curly hair, blue top and black trousers sings into a microphone with their arms outstretched.

iSing is Doncaster Music Hub’s massed choir event for Doncaster’s secondary schools.

Our musicians Luke and Jim are about to start visiting schools across Doncaster to write songs with pupils, for us to sing at iSing 2024!

We will be running the iSing concert at The Dome on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at 7pm.

Book a place for your school to take part in iSing 2024 here

All of the resources and tracks that you will need for the concert are available below, as well as a key to help you find the tracks that you need to teach the different parts for each song.

Key

Vocal score: the lyrics and sheet music for the track

Backing track: recorded musical accompaniment without voices

Soprano track: backing track with the soprano line isolated

Alto track: backing track with the alto line isolated where there is harmony in the track

Baritone track: backing track with the baritone line isolated

Melody track: backing track with the main melody line played on a piano – useful to navigate through the songs when teaching!

Performance track: full track with soprano, alto and baritone lines

All of the songs are arranged for three parts – soprano, alto and baritone. There are a few occasions where the alto line sits above the soprano line, to allow the top stave to stay with the melody. The songs will generally work with choirs just singing the top stave, but if your choir would like to learn all three parts, please do!

Please note, the songs below are arranged in alphabetical order, we will be performing the songs in a different order for the concert.
